Looking for a fast wing

Hi All

I have a demon on its last leg and looking for something to replace it with. I understand that ritewing is no longer producing these wings - what options are there available at this point for going fast!

Thanks

Sylvan Aircraft's 35" Prodigy wing:

Sylvan Aircraft "Prodigy" Flying Wing - GPS vs. Doppler Test Runs (3 min 11 sec)

I've had mine up to 120+MPH on 4S (2 cheap 2S packs in series), though not in the video above since the battery bay hatch came untaped and really slowed it down. Other than burying the electronics in a bay and using an L-bracket motor mount so I could run both out and inrunners, mine is "stock". No glassing or any of that. Just strapping and colored packing tape.

I'm not sure if these kits are presently available, but they were going for something like $45 + shipping. As much as I'd love to own any of CK's wings, I'm a frugal shopper

Fast to me means 140MPH+

Another requirement that I am looking for is a wingspan of 40"+

I find tracking too difficult on smaller wings...

Seriously - can anyone recommend a wing over 40" to do 140mph+

my ritewing demon is about ready for the graveyard. I would buy another, but my understand is that it is no longer in production...

i am betting you could build up a Grim Reaper to do that sort of speed... drop them a message, it's worth a shot

oh, and it's 55 inches... nice and trackable

Possibly the combo of big size and uigh speed is a more rare kind of thing? I'd like to see how far you'd get with the 140mph though!

My Ohio Combat Sledge hit 160 on 4S. Alas Jeremy not selling anymore. You could try a pm to him and see if he has any cores left.

RCG user ApexAero has been having excellent success with forward-swept balsa wings. I think he's close to 200mph with one of them. That might be an option if you're not opposed to a little building.

My philosophy has always been go fast or go home - I guess I am going home!

I am going to try to strip down my crashed demon 40 and try to bring it back to life.

It's a shame that there appears to be no off the shelf wing to go fast anymore

I have a Demon 40 that I never built that I could let you have cheap. Only thing I did was join the wing cores together.

Thanks for the mention! Actually we can cut custom panels up to 96" - It's our Quick Orders that max out at 72" span (two panels at 36") as it's as big as we can go and ship with a reasonable flat rate.
