Wow, great article. I am truly sorry that I missed this event, as I have a strong interest in aerotow. Hope to attend next year.

Nicely written and illustrated article Mr. Grose.

I used to travel into HSV and work as a contractor at the Dunlop factory. Lots of good times there!

Asher, thanks for forwarding this to me. Andy, thank you for taking the time to put together some great memories.

Some of you guys at the meet may remember that I was having some vision issues and needed a spotter (Thanks Jeremy, Al and Rusty). Well, after an eye exam I have some good news, and not so good news. Good news, my vision is 20/25 without any corrective glasses. I found out that I have cataracts, so that's what caused the vision issues while flying, but the bad news is that I also found out I have a condition called FUCHS' (pronounced foocs not the other way ). The condition is basically that the cells of my corneas are dying. I will need two cornea transplants if the condition worsens , but no idea if it will or not. Hopefully I will be there next year and be able to see my LS4 clearly.

Guys, I appreciate all the comments on the article. You are all very flattering. I just took a few pictures and threw a few words on the page...nothing THAT special. But it does make it feel worthwhile to know that you guys get such a big kick out of it.

Keith, here's hoping for the best for you, my friend.

Wow that was a great article. Looks like you guys really had a lot of fun and some great flying. It makes me want to pull out my DG 1000 and go flying.

Thanks, Tim. My hope in writing the article was to relate how much fun I had at the event. I think I got the point across.

Nice job on the flyer...looks great!

With some luck and careful planning I hope to get towed up next year. I've started on my DG-808s. A 4 meter ship takes up some space to assemble! This glider stuff is addictive.....I'm up to six already...........

Awesome article!!!!!!!

I could not attend this year as planned due to medical issues but have them squared away. Definitely on the 2014 calendar.
