Nobody guaranteed any surprise. We should be happy because the world didn't end on 21.
Merry Christmas!

I was expecting some TSR for Android. For Android should be OK only a GUI like the the #18 one. No USB communication, no online updates, just a way to easy create a setting file.

help me obiwan

I have been trying to edit my AVI files taken from my key cam with WMM. I have installed the latest versions of ffdshow and x264vfw. When I set a start point on my avi clip the rest of the frames go black. I can listen to the rest of the clip to set my end point. After that I publish my project as a WMV. When I play the final result all I have is audio. What am I doing wrong. I have no idea what settings I need to change in ffdshow and x264vfw. BTW, my computer has Vista on it if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance.

The problem is explained in the FAQs (post#3) with solutions. The camera uses a non-standard AVI format, and all the info needed to play the file is packed into the file header. If you clip off or bypass that first frame when editing, you will not get any video. Do you need AVI format because you can't afford to lose a couple of seconds of video between clips (that's the only reason to use that format). If not, switch to MOV format. You should be able to edit those with Vista WMM with the codecs you have installed.

Ideas?? Old one works fine.

Also used TM to force stop 04 and 03. But seems that 02 is closing OK.

In v3+v4, the X (top-right) to normally close program is disabled for technical reasons*. You must use the Power button at the right of the J16 Logo.

Additionnally, when you do a Firmware update, the Power button is greyed-out until you complete the cycle.

* Pressing the Power button allows for a clean shutdown with proper housekeeping i.e. leaving USB in correct state

If that's all you require I can do that easily.
What about setting the camera directly??? Is there any docs about the communication protocol?
It would only work on devices that support USB-HOST and are rooted but at least it may work in some.

We can already edit the text setup file, as needed, with Droid phones.

What would be nice is to communicate with the cam via a Bluetooth USB dongle.

Well, it is Christmas!
