Durafly 1100mm JU-87 Stuka

Well, it's happened:

While innocently posting pics of the package of one of the first 1100mm A-1 Skyraiders received here in the forums, someone let the cat out of the bag with this picture...

Not only is Durafly upping the ante in regards to 1100mm warbirds (in effect, creating their own niche/genre), but apparently they're coming out with warbirds in scarcely seen paint schemes. If this is a sign of things to come, what other unique models are out there, waiting to be released...

Hats off to Scott and the gang at HK for breaking new ground with the excellent scale models in the Durafly range !!!

On the 1400mm FMS Stuka thread JBC did an amazing job on "winterizing" his Stuka!

Can't wait for this one

If the 1400 performance is anything to go by, this should be good.

This one does not appeal to my tastes, but I will buy it just to continue the range. If durafly are listening, please announce a twin. Obviously it would add cost, but it is cost I would pay.

Thanks fvi wow can't believe it's been a year since I did mine
For anyone looking at getting the winter scheme or painting theirs up I can say it's quite nice and not that common....yet and fairly easy to see even when it's a bit overcast....

Here's what I did with mine ...yeah ok it's the larger FMS version but you get the idea

Good looking Stuka Herfe,

This 1100mm Durafly model will be fantastic as it's "just the right size", and really only needs to be weathered. I would have already purchased the FMS version, but like the Starmax 1600mm Skyraider, they're both simply too darn big for me to be practical.

Great video jbc, it looks like you could get a job doing this professionally (heck, for all I know, maybe you do !) Ain't foam wonderful. that spill you took would have done alot to a balsa-bird; with EPO, you just glue the guns back on, dust her off (or not, as the dust adds great detail ), and she's out mauling T-34s again!

This 1100mm range will be sweet as I will be able to bring two birds to the field instead of just one Plus, I like the idea of using a common power source in the 3S 2200mah for most of my models. Once the Stuka gets released, that'll be my third, following the T-28 and the Able Dog.

Scott, as Spudz27 inquired about the DH 88, is there going to be a pre-order list for the Stuka?

Cheers

Cheers justwingit I wish I could say I fly rc proffessionally but unfortunately no my real job gets in the way I do have a few 1100mm ish sized planes and they are a hoot to fly but honestly the larger Fms size really are a step up, I dunno...hard to explain...then again might just be a personal thing
A friend of mine does have the Trojan in this size and it's a beautiful looking AND flying model, I'd expect the Stuka to be similar
