Fantastic Joe. I'm amazed at your talent (and others) that can start with a 3 view and end up with 3D.

Great Job Joe!

She looks fantastic. I have to admit, ... when opening this thread, I didnt know who was the original poster. I got to looking at the first set of pictures and immediately thought to myself, .,.. this guy's good, I think its Joe. Then I saw the work table, and it clicked, ... It just has to be Joe. So I looked at the name, ... and it was you.

I am now able to tell your work just through a picture, ... the work table picture, ... just confirmed my suspicions! To bad you didn't live closer, ... Id love to pick at your brain once and a while.

Those plastic models are invaluable for reference and to use for scaling, yet most folks don't even bother with them, ... sad, it would be the best tool they ever bought for 1/10 the amount of money it's worth.

Again Joe, Beautiful job

Bill

I got the fuse/fin fine tuned and glassed. Two coats of resin one on the glass and one over the first coat while it was still very green. The second coat fills the glass full and I only put one layer of 10 oz. and don't want to sand the glass to much. I cut stab templates and cut some cores and laid it up. Its 18.5" wide and hope that is enough. The wing needs to get built so the fillets on the fuse can be completed before the paint prep starts. So wing is next.

Wow, you've been busy! Did you use 3M77 to hold the glass in place? It's looking awesome!

update pics. Time to decide on aileron torque rod linkage or servos in the wing. Then get the wing together for good and then work on the wing fillets and saddle. Things slow down on this stuff. Preparing the fuse for molding will take a bit of time.
