hello, i just charged up my 2S lipo 800 Mah. i forgot take it out of the plug and left it for about 20mins extra on the charger after it was done charging. mine doesnt have auto cut-off thing. its a simple charger. so when i tried to fly it i gave it full throttle and it only lifed about 2 feet off the ground. i tried my xtreme carbon fibre baldes, and that didnt help, so is the lipo going bad, it isn't puffed or anything, didnt even get warm on the charger. i charged it twice and same results. please help...

EDIT:now the stock esky lipo charger is charging it just fine...dont know what was wrong with it..ill test it out with my heli after its finished charging...

Any way you can check each cell for volts full they should be 4.2.

It could be your motors also!!! But if your going to fly electrics you need to buy a better charger one with a LCD screen read out...

You really really need to check the pack (cell) voltages. Checking the individual cell voltages will tell you if something is wrong with the pack or the charger.
I'd hold off on doing anymore charging until you do that as charging damaged/unbalanced lipos can sometimes cause them to ignite.

Any charger that lacks autocutoff is unsafe for use with LiPos.

With a volt meter. Available from Harbor Freight for $5 or less.

Does the pack have a balance connector?

1st measure pack voltage by using volt meter across main power leads.

What is the voltage?

Looking at the top of the balance connector, you'll see the silver colored contacts in the rectangular openings. Measure the voltage on 1&2 and 2&3 pins. BE CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH THE LEADS TOGETHER or you'll short out the battery. Placing tape over all but the very tips of the voltameter probes helps to prevent shorting.

^No, each cell should read out 4.20 volts fully charged, or 8.4 volts at the main lead.

And if your charger doesn't have a cutoff, then it's not for lipo use. Even the cheap as dirt ones have auto cutoffs

Leaving the lipo on the charger for an extra 20 mins is perfectly fine, although some chargers might have a discharge rate higher than others. I've left my lipos on my charger for a couple hours over, and they were fine

Oh yeah, get an inexpensive Turnigy Accucel-6. It's a computerized charger that's easy to use, has a bright LCD display that's backlight, and can charge all of the rechargable batteries out there (1-15 NiXX cells, 1-6s lipo/Li-ion/A123, 1-10 cell Pb all from 0.1-5.0 amps). They only cost $35 from Hobby City, and include numerous connectors for different battery types

ok, thanks Xpress the charger im using came with the HBFP its a 2S balancing lipo charger...ok ill check the battery again but i think its my charger that isnt working properly...because the battery was low, not below the lowest voltage mark,and i put it to charge and it was finished in about half an hour. the lipo is a 800 mah 2s and the charge rate is 800 mah...all i need now is a battery checker/volt meter...

it works fine now...dont know what was up with it.
