Carbon Fiber Pushrod Ends ConnectorsRC.com
As our planes and helicopters increase in speed, weight and performance, It is important to take a closer look at your pushrods. Carbon Fiber is the best mix of weight and stiffness used in today's airplanes, and now there is an economical and convenient pushrod end that can take advantage of these new materials. These come in sizes that utilize 3/16 (.187) inch OD carbon tube used for 90+ sized planes as well as a smaller version that is perfect for your smaller sized planes using 1/8 (.125) Carbon Fiber.
How strong are these? Using JB weld, we were able to put over 200 lbs of pulling tension on carbon fiber + pushrod end without failure.
These ends are superior to inserts that go inside the CF tube because they protect the weakest point of the pushrod by preventing cracks and splitting due to vibration and cutting.
