HV esc for motor needed

Greetings!

I Hope I'm posting this in the correct group.

In short I'm working on an automotive project that has been done before with a couple of modifications. I'm working on the electric turbo.

For my application, I'm going to using a high powered brushless motor. The motor is runs at 46 volts at 326 amps. These values are for a short burst (5 seconds or so) with the motor operating at 46 volts at 180 ~ 220 amps regularly.

As you can imagine; I just can't find an ESC that can handle this voltage and amps! I have the alternative to buy a 58 volt @ 258 amps if that helps any.

Please assist!

Edit: I should add, at this Power Level your ESC will need cooling and you should not look at cheap chinese ESC's. Just not worth its time...

You should have no problem using a 56 volt ESC at 46 volts. The voltage rating is a maximum allowed. Generally it is not a good idea to use any electronic component at it's maximum rating.

kontronic make a 200 amp (14s)58 v speed control as do others , guys flying f5b in the past were running 125 amp speed controls at 450 amps for very short bursts , you might be able to get away with the kontronic , I would run a cooling fan on it , you might try contacting Jim Drew at xps , at one point he was planning on making a 20s speed control , don't know if he has any but might be worth a try , good luck ...

You can buy 18S-24S controllers from Flier Model. They opted to sell to the public directly instead of using us a dealer.
