Question
How do you take your Lipo batteries to the field?

I usually just throw my Lipo batteries on the passenger car seat when going to the field. I probably should get a box for them. Ammo boxes seem like a favorite. What other readily available cases and bags would work for taking Lipo's to the flying field?

I use the ammo boxs as well and sprayed the inside with plasti-dip to prevent accidental shorts and took the seal out of the lid so it could vent.

In LipoSacks then the bags go in a padded aluminum carry case.

Local DIY shop.... for about $5 they have sectional plastic boxes that for me are perfect .... I can get my Lipo's, charge lead, Wattmeter in .... the B6 charger I leave outside the box and plug into car ...

And a double folding job for other gear like screwdrivers, spare props, blades etc.

Single ones again ..

I now have 4 of these .... set up for specific types of model. No need to carry all the gear now - I pick a box suitable for what goes that day.

I have created another LiPo box ... same as above - as my inventory grows. But the second one is more for the cables, leads, associated bits so freeing up space for the extra LiPo's in first box.

Excellent idea about removing the seal. I think the ammo can(sans seal), and a charging bag is about the best solution. Bag prevents any shorts, but won't burn like the plasti-dip in case there is a fire.

Great idea Prescador.

Wow that's a fantastic idea. I actually have an old lunch cooler lying around. It's not hard but it's well insulated and decently rigid.
