I bought my CC ESC before the introduction of the "Edge" and its white wire. Maybe that system would correct my issue?

The Hobbywing phase sensor is the bomb for the gov function using the Skookum. Cheap too! http://www.helidirect.com/rpm-sensor-p-26366.hdx
I just setup two of them this afternoon. I shortened the wires on both then re heat shrank them after some quick solder work. I used the factory quick connect they provided on one, but put in my own 2mm bullets on the other. They put out a digital signal and can handle just about any servo rail voltage you can run. All that is needed on one end is to attach two phase leads to any two motor wires or to the esc motor output wires. I prefer soldering the ends directly into the esc where the wires are soldered into the board.
I will post up some pics tomorrow on all of it.
Guys, I have to say. I am kinda jacked tonight. KDE showed up today. So I cut down three shafts in a row while playing musical helis with them. Cut and shortened all the wires, soldered on a couple dozen new bullets and then ran braided covering on all the YGE esc wires before adding new heat shrink to them. I also used Diamond Lube on all my new motors and throughout the helis. So for sure my 7 and 800 are going to see some air time tomorrow if the weather cooperates.
