New Product
ASM Giant, 92 inch, A-26 Invader-New From Hobby People

Just got the newest sale catalog from Hobby People. In January 2008 they are supposed to release thier newest giant plane, a 92 inch A-26.

I'm ordering one today in place of the B-25s, price $ 449.00, retracts 339.99, struts 44.99.

The plane is supposed to weight out at between 14.5 and 17.5 lbs. They are listing (2) KMS 4120/05 BL electric motors as optional power. I hope they design in the battery hatches.

I have two versions of the VQ A-26, much smaller than this giant, and the A-26 is a good flying twin.

This thread will be converted to a build thread when the plane arrives.

Here is a picture taken at the Arizona Electic Festival last weekend. The people at Jet Hangar Hobbies, Larry Wolfe, were doing some advance evaluation of the plane for Hobby People.

Man this plane flew really nice, however, the report is that some minor cosmetic changes might be needed, so, I would say the plane won't be available as soon as I would like. Larry said there were only two in the country at the moment both for evaluation.

The picture was taken my MSTNG, that's his nic name.

I can atest that this is a really nice flying airplane that looks great in the air. Flies really gracefully and looks to be pretty scale in outline as well.

Here are a couple shots I got from AZEF.

Re; the A-26
Saw Larry's at AZ Electric Fest, very nice model, good size, flew great. I told Larry that the A-26K (Vietnam model) with the gun nose, no turret, OD upper and matt black underside, would be just up my alley

AL, When I looked into my mailbox and seen the new Hobby peoples flyer. I looked on the back page and seen the A-26. I was telling my wife I bet Scalefan will be the first to buy one or at least the first to post on the groups . Good luck with the build and I will be watching. Hey do you have a seperate hanger for all your planes????

Mike,

I am plumb out of space, not kidding. When a plane goes in, I'm almost happy.

I think the production model of this A-26 is still months away. But what will probably come first is the one linked below: I put an order in for it, who knows.

http://www.kmp.ca/product_info.php?c...roducts_id=171

To be truthfull, I am not doing this the right way. I fly a plane, then store it. While they are stored they accumulate hangar rash. It's a darn shame, I just have to make more time for flying and slow the building.

What are you doing next?

Whats Next??/ Well still working the Zero and OV-10, then I think the A-7 Pusher then the Hog Bibe, then Lainer Stinger 40. They are all setting in there boxes waiting for me. The zero build has be well alot of work.. The OV-10 has been just the same. But I will be watching your build on this one.

Al,

The "Super Scooper" doesn't have any wheels.

How are you going to handle that?

The Super Scoooooper is going to fly at a lake this summer.
Got to have toys to play with, temps hit 120 degress in the summer and my wife doesn't like to go, so I do it alone.
