I just sent mine back to the online store I bought it from. They will replace it, and if they decide it is a warranty case, they will refund the shipping charges to me.
I asked them if they could test the replacement unit before shipping it, to avoid repeating the situation.
To be continued.....

Just got word back from the store owner that he received my charger, and will be testing it tomorrow. Very curious towards his conclusions.

A new charger is on the way for me, accepted as warranty issue.
Great service from Voltmaster.de!

Replacement charger arrived yesterday. I tested charging only on output A so far, and it charges to 4.2V cell voltage as it should!
So: it can be done :-)

I got my charger back few days ago, it was a calibration issue. I sent it to the norwegian hitec import, and the re-calibrated it and now it works perfect!

I know this is a old thread but is anybody using LiFe batteries on this charger. My Hitec X4 has a fixed discharge at 2v. Since I just started using the LiFe batteries the reference info I've found suggests a discharge no lower than 2.5v. Does the H4 let you change the minimum discharge voltage cutoff?

Hi, I bought a charger Hitec h4, in the mode of storage is constantly discharged even when the cell voltage is 3.75 V.
When charging is by default set to 4.0 V / cell yet charged to 4.2 V / cell ...
Firmware is 1.02.
Today I am going to consult the problem with the seller.

Hi, so my charger had to howl replaced.
The replacement charger is charging correctly.
Today I received a voucher for Amain hobbies, it would cost me an I-charger 308 duo 240USD pity that I have not received it previously.

Got 1.02 firmware on it and exactly same problem with charging lipos.

So is that can be fixed by new firmware or have to send it back ?

I really had to have mine swapped, firmware update didn't do anything to solve the problem.
Now I sometimes have a battery that stops charging at, say, 98%, but that is due to some bad balancer adapter. Because when I swap them, everything goes fine again.

I got charger swapped also and first charging shows me 98% charge for lipo 4S FULL 16.82V ,when multimeter shows 16.62V
This is new charger ,but still got 1.02 firmware on it.
So sending this back second time = NO FUN !!

I guess I'll pass on this charger for now. I have the X4 but it is fixed on the LiFe discharge setting. I know about faking the discharge setting using the nimh setting, but I'd rather have a cycler that works right.

Just thought I'd pop in to mention that I WAS eyeballing the Hitec H4 charger. But before I bought it I thought about it for a minute... I once was told how reliable and high quality Hitec servos were and then found out that just like when buying an automobile. Having a good warranty DOES NOT equal having a reliable car/product in every individual case. Sometimes it just equals more expense and more downtime which, IMO, isn't "reliable". So before i clicked buy on this H4 charger i decided to do some deep digging around the web and the only positive things i saw honestly were in white wash videos from hobby stores trying to sell this charger. I personally can't trust their opinion because they are just trying to show you something to sell you something and sometimes haven't even reviewed the product in practical use to know how it really works... Which is why i saw a lot of "This is a great, reliable, and powerful charger" narrative.

Once i got into the forums i found very upset people as recently as last month and going back all the way to 2013 on multiple forums..... WOW... Okay so i have lost ALL interest in this product because if they can't straighten out everything within a year without causing so many people to return their charger even this far after release. I just can't be bothered. Which was unfortunate because i thought this was the best charger for me until i did some thinking and realized that the Icharger 308DUO is more powerful at 1300W compared to H4's 480W total and the 308DUO has features like a servo tester, internal resistance monitor, bright color screen that flips up for easy viewing and i'm sure a few other things that the H4 doesn't have. Sure i loose two charging ports and the versatility of being able to charge a few different kinds of packs. But i mostly charge 6S packs and i don't mind doing two of them in parallel to even things out with what i am loosing by not having a 4 port charger. So I guess I'm saying it pays to do your research.

Unless a bunch of current owners want to change my opinion?
