Obama staging troops to invade Syria?

One has to wonder;

"The United States has sent military troops to the Jordan-Syria border to bolster that country's military capabilities in the event that violence escalates along its border with Syria, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said Wednesday.

Speaking at a NATO conference of defense ministers in Brussels, Panetta said the U.S. has been working with Jordan to monitor chemical and biological weapons sites in Syria and also to help Jordan deal with refugees pouring over the border from Syria. The troops are also building a headquarters for themselves.

But the revelation of U.S. military personnel so close to the 19-month-old Syrian conflict suggests an escalation in the U.S. military involvement in the conflict, even as Washington pushes back on any suggestion of a direct intervention in Syria."

Well, I'm not sure if we be getting directly involved in Syria or not. But found it interesting this morning to see reports in the NYT's about Al Qaeda operating in Syria. That's a terrorist group that we go after aggressively in other countries.

Yep, another chance for young Americans to die for NOTHING.

I see that the fear is that Assad has "chemical weapons". Chemical weapons? Didn't chemical weapons used to be called "WMD's" or "weapons of mass destruction?"

Other than bowing and apologizing, how is the foreign policy of our peace prize winner any different from his predecessor?

Let's hope they find those "WMD's".

One more quick question.

Since Obama points out that the US fought two wars that "were not paid for" is this war going to be paid for?

Has the money been "found" that was spent in Libya? Have we laid out a budget for the "headquarters that are beiing built, the equipment being used, the medical treatment for the soldiers who come back, burned, missing limbs, and permanently crippled?

That was all Bush's fault. You know that obama doesn't take responsibility for ANYTHING!!!!! Oh, he'll be the first to take credit, but never any responsibility.

The usual suspects are suprisingly quiet.

Where is the defense for Barrack Hussein?

Wait? Is this one of thosw wars that is correct to fight because it "free's people?"

If Chiina built a "headquarters" on the border in Northern Mexico and brought in troops would the US consider it a "friendly act?"

What if another country fired 162 cruise missles into our country like we did with Libya? It couldn't be called an "act of war" since it wasn't an act of war against Libya, right?

Time for the US to NEVER get involved in another country again unless attacked on it's own soil by an organized army representing another nation.

I don't think you will see many of "HIS" supporters complaining about "THEIR MESSIAH". Just about anything he does is just great.

Wasn't Lybia a nickel and dime operation on our part Certainly no comparison to the war in Iraq or the ongoing conflict in Afgaistan.

Libya cost $1.3 billion dollars that were not part of the budget. All that so that the Muslim brotherhood could install sharia las and so that France could have cheap oil.

We not only support al-Qaeda, we largely created them.

Hillary Clinton Admits the U.S. Government Created al-Qaeda (1 min 24 sec)

Hillary Clinton would never admit to the American people who send their sons and money to fight al-Qaeda that she directly supports al-Qaeda.

Barack Obama would never admit to the American people that he spent $ billions and fired hundreds of cruise missiles so the very same maniacs who killed our ambassador in Libya could run amok there. People might question his and Clinton's use of the word "humanitarian" if he did.

So go ahead and vote for a war monger (Obama or Romney). And next time you hear of religious zealots shooting teenage girls in the head or of American soldiers being killed abroad, just stay calm and convince yourself that the show must go on.

I have no criticism of this post and generally agree. This is my biggest beef with Romney. There is no winning these "wars" for America. We lose big every time we meddle in others affairs.
