The Military Supports Ronmey by a HUGE Margin

There was a recent poll of our service members. They prefer Ronmey 2-1 over Obama.

Quote:
The professional core of the U.S. military overwhelmingly favors Mitt Romney over President Obama in the upcoming election — but not because of any particular military issues, according to a new poll of more than 3,100 active and reserve troops.

Respondents rated the economy and the candidates’ character as their most important considerations and all but ignored the war in Afghanistan as an issue of concern.

And your point is ?

Unless America is thinking of following the previous leadership of Burma-Egypt, Argentina etc I'd say the Military needs to put up and shup up!

If you have not actually served in the US military you have absolutely no idea of what you are talking about. It is overwhelmingly conservative and has been for as long as we have had a volunteer military. The only way liberals will "serve" their country is if they are forced. Conservatives believe in this country and are willing to serve to protect the liberties and freedoms we have. Liberals would rather hug trees and do other basically useless things. They have the freedom to do this only because conservatives are willing to put their lives on the line to protect this country.

B/S

I've worked long and hard with the US Military - the last lot were Texan's and they still didn't fall under your catch all 'conservative' B/S claim!

Yep. There's a lot of 'conservatives' in the military. According to the OP it'd be about 2/3rds, which of course means that a third aren't. And of course being that all service is voluntary, those that are liberal and serve were not forced too, and have chosen military service over hugging trees and other useless things.

btw, as a liberal who served, I kind of find your post a tad offensive.

He was specific about the US military. Canadians probably have a similar demographic to the British.

Or not. Our military is predominently conservative as well, with a ratio that would be awefully similar to the poll in the OP.
