A little known, good looking plane with a reputation as an excellent flier (full or part scale). A Depron scratch build in what appears to be a Park flyer size.

You have my interest, I am subscribed and

Is your airfoil a KFm4?
Appears to have a slight amount of dihedral, is that so?
What is the wingspan?

Look forward to seeing your build progress.

TonyS,

Howdy from a fellow Razorback.

lebardmelon,

Hopefully you are developing plans to share. I really am quite interested in a foam aerobat this size that's not an Extra, Edge or Yak. Not that there's anything wrong with them, I just like something a little different, you know?

No dihedral appears in the MRA plan , so i follow the plan..... It is moreless a kf4 but in fact it is more to give some strenght to the wing.....Only two layers of depron with this 1.4 m wingspan would have been too light according to me.....so i use three.
I use two mini servos HXT500 for the ailerons , it should be OK. I Will use the same miniservos for rudder and and for elevons ( perhaps 2 ..?)
I am less confident for the choice of the motor....but we will see that later.
Cheers to all
Eric

Hi
It is time to redesign the rudder and tail according i only use 6 MM. Depron. It is Quite funny to see that the MRA plan is probably already à translation from impérial messires.
Anyway, that is done and on addition i use some tips to assemble these parts more easily
Nobody havé suggestion for the motorisation choice?
See you soon

Continuing to watch your progress. The plan which you presented in Post #1 indicates the wood and covering model would weigh nearly 2 kilos. A similar size plane available here and powered with a 8.5cc 2-stroke or 10cc 4-stroke glow is reported to weigh about 2.2 kilos.

Your foam version should be lighter so I think a Turnigy 46, or equivalent, would be more than enough power and a Turnigy 32 might be sufficient.

Tanks Tony for this estimation about the motor. Of course, the plane Will be Much lighter and I Will make some weigthing soon to be more accurate
Up to now i progress on the tail systems ( spars and hinges) and I started the fuse. About the fuse, i am thinking on how to fix the flat wing to the fuse and to make the "box" rigid enough.....not so simple with Only depron....
Of course, it Will not be a fixed wing because the plane Will travel to the field in a Renault twingo boot....

Are you selecting "Upload Files" before you have all the files selected you wish to post?

1.4 meter wingspan is perfect for what I have in mind.

If you don't have these resources, or something comparable, they may be useful to you.

lebardemelon, have a look at the screenshot I made.
You should click "Attachments" (where the mouse pointer is in the picture), then there should open a new window in which you can upload 150 pictures. (Don't forget to click "Upload" and "Save Changes" in that window)

Hope this helps.

I think i understand now.
I word on my IPAD which does not support flash player and everytime i select a second picture to upload, the first one automatically disappear.
Any way that is my "rigid box", built in situ ,directly on the wing.
