Pretty ingenious on the main spar reinforcement Kmihalkov build. Elegant and simple.

I use this little switch only for the electronic.
For the ESC i saw in the forum another good decision.

I can not remember remember from were i downloaded the picture.
(I plea the owner of the pics to excuse my for our usage)

I have a copy of the picture

I even see an arming switch which is used almost exclusively with Nitro Fuel planes. While I do like the idea of turning off the ESC with this switch I would still want to disengage the battery. Maybe a plug on the outside that breaks the battery lead circuit.

@ kmihalkov

Really nice build - attention to detail. And the 'machined' parts for that 'custom fit'. Well done.

Yes. That would do the trick. Just have to reinforce the plug going thru the fuse wall. Thanks

Hi Josh

this cooling port is because of ESC.
I mounted the ESC inside.
In tail part of fuselage I made 2 little output ports for the out air

Since I lost my dedicated Sky Surfer night flyer last weekend (don't ask...) I ordered another kit from Ready Made RC. Placed the order Sunday night and it got to my house today (Wednesday). It's the V1 kit and this time the decals are on a separate sheet (yay!). This will be my 4th Sky Surfer (have 2 that are flyable) that I've built. Now I'm just waiting on the LED lights, servos (Hobbypartz), and motor (inrunner from HeadsUpRC).

Warning - don't paint the wing tips orange as per Deep Freeze aircraft that go to the Antarctic from here. I did and it snowed a couple of days later !!!!!

It certainly makes spotting which way is up easier though it didn't stop me "landing" inverted on a sealed road (before it snowed) - broken wing, scratched up front fuselage, knocked the tail feathers off. However back in the air today in time to fly on a snow covered field. Snow on grass makes for a bumpy landing. The other Bixler flying with me didn't have orange tips and was not as easy to see.

kmihalkov,
Very impressive work.
Don't know if you can cross post to the FPV thread but I'm sure they'd enjoy it too.

Well it is actually from my post #6212 in this very thread! Currently page #630 but that changes pretty rapidly.

And you are most welcome.
