GPS Distance Calculation

Is the GPS distance reported inclusive of altitude i.e. the hypotenuse leg of the triangle formed by ground distance and altitude and therefore the actual line of site distance to the model, or the "track over land" distance (or the base of that triangle)?

Hi, no, the GPS distance is the base of the triangle, except when displayed on the OSD Pro. The OSD Pro has a "line of sight" option that reports the hypotenuse distance.
