I got to fly a couple of sorties with my t-28 last night after work...
It was great - quiet street to take off and land.. only a couple of dog walkers out in the evening.

Nice big open areas to fly over too.

Hope to meet up with others in the future.

Depending on date and time, I'm up for it -- if helis are allowed :-)

is anyone out flying this spot today? i may swing by in an hour or two...
from the link above, it looks like the site is at the intersections of Durden, Johnson Ferry and Blair Circle; is that correct?

I just got back, nice spot and very convenient.

I only got one pack in before the light rain, but it is a great sized venue for my ultimate; thanks for sharing the location.

There was a nice tricky crosswind going across the street but the landing was uneventful.

...looks pretty, may go back out...

It's raining down here, or else I'd be there with ya... maybe on Monday we can fly in between showers.

Congrats on the wedding! I am flying tomorrow, but I am supposed to go up to meet some buddies up in Gainsville at another non AMA field...I actually went up there late this afternoon and got there with enough time for another 10 or so packs before heading home

You are welcome to join me, many of the guys out there fly giants if you are looking for a great venue for big planes. I am coming from buckhead so dunwoody is much easier, but it is well worth the trip if you got the time. today was particularly exciting with a trex 700 on 12s, my 40in pa ultimate flying with an 82in ultimate, 1/4 yaks and more.

I may drop by dunwoody for a pack or two before i head up there... what time do you start?

hey Rockwell, how you been?

the weather will be great, everything that rained on me today blew over within a few mins.

What time do you think you will be out tomorrow?

I'm hoping to fly my helis today somewhere... the rain has stopped in Alpharetta. Batteries are charged, helis in the car, just looking for a place to go.

I think I'll join you, we can fly at the spot, or marist school right down the street. Its a huge double soccer field and it's wide open.
Im charging batteries right now, should be pretty soon. Anybody else thats wants to fly today can call me as well. Im thinking around 2pm or so...
Sound good?
Matt
