I really like the old 5996TG servo but they're obsolete. I also like the $12 HS325
BTW: The new Titanium geared, high speed, high voltage 7940 is on sale at servo city

Those sure look nice,I'd like to try some but I've got like 6 of the 7955's laying around in the shop. might as well put them to use. I better get building.

Cool idea. I though about using heli blades to make the wings for a wingeron glider. Could be some better uses for the pesky blades!

I believe they have lead in the leading edge. I know the one I found at the power field had lead in it.

I say we try it! the lead only adds mass, useful for ds. I'll take a look and see how much it might cost to tryout on a mini jw or something of similar size.

I don't give a flying F*** Naked JW Build 12-14hrs.

So I thought I'd build a JW that I just didn't want to spend any time on the build and would be good for air of 15-25 mph and furballs and just fun DS'ing in light to med conditions.
This is what I came up with, kinda a half naked JW that I think will be about 60 oz. when done.
This plane is the exact opposite of my normal JW build but I'll probably get a ton of fun and time out of this plane.
The wing has one layer of tape and one layer of 10 mil. new stuff and some floro sticky stuff
The fuse hase 2 layers of tape and 3 layers of thinned colored goop
The elevons are just coverd in 10 mil new stuff.
Standard coroplast tail

The plane will come in at about 60 oz. when I do the final CG
The main point is I spent less than 14hrs just hiding in my man cave drinking beer and playing with toy's to have this plane ready to go

Oh and I am painting the pushrod covers white before I glue them in place

Nice Nick, wish I had your self-control.
I think my main problem is that I don't like working more than a little at a time and I don't multi-task very well.
My lightest is 57.5oz with a 5 cell 1500 battery in the fuse, 2 layers of bi-di and a balsa-only fin.
Willmo, very cool retro look!
But, it looks like you cut off half of your tips

It must be an optical illusion,,I cut less than 1 square inch of each tip just to round it a bit.
