It will fly, but the prop may feel slightly slower than a 14x7.

I have tried several different motors in the AMR including the Thrust 40.
The Thrust 30 with a 5.5 ounce or less battery VOX wood 13 x 5 propeller is a better way to go.
That Thrust 40 makes the airplane too heavy it is more suited for bigger airplanes like the Addiction X.
The Thrust 30 is plenty of power for 3D, lighter motor, lighter ESC, lighter battery pulls it straight up just fine with less fall out.

T40 is the way to go! perfect cg, amazing power! If you feel with the 14x7 its too much power you can prop down to a 13x6.5!

I also stick to the T40 without question. I would certainly not want any less power on the AMR

I'm beginning to agree.
Having used the Motrolfly motor for 12 or so flights, it's just way way way over powered, even on a 3s battery with a 12x6 prop.
It's killing my batteries and I never use throttle over 60 %.... it's THAT powerful.
I'll have to get another T40 if I'm ever going to enjoy my AMR again.

Funny how people just mindlessly make comments even though they have never tried an idea. If I suggested putting the T30 on the small Addiction you would say "no the T20 is the perfect size" even though the T40 on the AMR is the same thing. This is not about power, it is about making the model lighter so it performs better. I am running the T30 and it works great. Just thought someone might give it some thought and try it. Apparently any deviation from the original design is taboo. Is it always just about putting the last stamp on any comment made?

Having flown countless setups on tons of planes, I have flown enough to know what I like.
And if I am not flying an Addiction, I prefer a little weight up front to help carry momentum and fly more aggressive acrobatics. Lighter is not always better. I like my planes to be able to snap and spin more than I like to sit and hover a feather.

Funny how you can make such assumptions of other pilots that you have no clue their experience and history... Stick with your anemic setup, I could give a poop.
