If your card is very thin (<0,7mm) it can have problems making contact properly when inserted. If you put a piece of tape on the logo-side to make it 0.75-0.8mm thick, it will sit better in the slot and make better contact.

Sadly there is a lot of difference between the thickness of cards from different manufactorers. I have seen from 0.65 to 0.82 mm thickness.

There is also a small feathering spring on the slot itself that can be bent down to make the card make better contact:

Thanks, I've read it, but my board is from the last batch, not "early beta", so I ignored this note.

Btw it will be nice, if it will be possible to import logs directly via flight controller, without replacing card in the card reader.

We still use the same SD card slot, and its not a problem with the reader but with card manufactorer tolerances. It still applies.

Dont hold your breath waiting for us to make a feature to read cards directly from the FC, its just not practical to do over a serial connection...and we are busy improving the featureset and documentation....

i have the gps antenna and gps shield, but still confuse how to attach the gps antenna to the gps shield.

do i tape it down or glue the antenna to the gps shield?

the instruction tell me to solder a wire from antenna to the gps shield? but there is only one wire to connect from antenna to the AQ FC. or i have to use extra small wire to solder one end from gps antenna aluminum cage to the gps shield on the other wire end?

what do you mean? this board has problem with calibrating?

what kind of problem? can you take time to explain.

The AQ6 does not have a problem calibrating its just a lengthy process

If everything goes good be prepared to spend at least
6 Hours on static (freezing and thawing not much work involved just time)
5min to hours?? on “Calibso” Dance (you have to practice a few times to get the hang of it)
10-20 hours number crunching on computer calculations (really depends on speed of your computer)

Then your board is ready to upload the new parameters and hopefully there is not much more tweaking.

the main weakness of autoquad and also its main point of strength is the calibration itself...

if you get it right... then your platform is stable as nothing else

but before the happiness you have to spill some tears...

what would be your experiance to compare this to? Mikrokopter?

I would imagine it's possible to be as good as MK if running I2C es'cs... but just flashed pwm?.. no chance.

have you tested AQ ?

the esc is the top of the iceberg... there are many other things to put into account.

and in my experience, i don't go think i2c makes this huge difference... only a very critical point of failure.

now i'm flying with ESC32 and the Aq with r37 dev firmware... i don't think to put back the MK fc for now...

but this is only my two cents.

From my experienced, normal esc with simonk firmware is as good as i2c esc on both arducopter and MK.

Yah, most users don't like the calibration process.
The positive outcome: you will learn a lot about your FC and the sensors - you'll know it inside out then.

There are plans to offer pre-calibrated boards and RTF/ARF setups. So the user only has to do some minor tuning to match his airframe.
