Mayasia Post is sending via Boat

Why no official update from HK

It seems Malaysia post is sending some packages via surface (ie boat)
" Estimated delivery transit: 6 to 16 weeks"

If we had some official acknowledgement from HK, then I might wait. If I knew they were coming & not lost.
So now, as soon as the 44th day arrives, I'll go for a paypal dispute instead.

As many others will be.

Have you learnt nothing form the Fiji Post debacle HK ??

I'm with you on this. Had one shipment take 55 days to show up. Right now I have two outstanding orders. One at 48 days and one at 40 days. Been bloody frustrating because I have a plane down needing a replacement motor. I finally got fed up and ordered another motor from another supplier which I will have today. I started a paypal claim for #48 and will have to do another claim for #40 in 5 days. Very unhappy with their shipping.

Hope HK is reading this stuff!

I'm already waiting more than 60 days
That's while the HobbyKing shipping isn't that cheap to start with.
Most other Chinese shops ship for free and the stuff arrives within 2 weeks.

I'm at 7 weeks. Hmmm. Won't use this delivery method again!

PS: how do you know if your parcel is on the slow boat?

Why no official announcements to let us know whats going on with malaysia post

ie : the fact that they are sending some orders via boat
the fact that its takes 2 months+ for some orders to be delivered
the fact that lipo orders are now not sent by Air by MY Post (they had a crackdown on this)

And perhaps some official announcement from HK explaining WHY they are continuing to use such an unreliable courier...

Its not as if this is a new issue, the Malaysia post threat has been active 6 MONTHS

so... working on it

As this has happened in the wake or the Fijipost debacle, you clearly aren't LEARNING from it!!

Guys, I think I am also suffering this. I was thinking I had my first lost order from Hobbyking after 110 orders but maybe it's stuck on a boat. But still, a boat is not that slow. Takes what, a week, maybe two? My order shows as shipped 6/4, tracking shows sent to USA on 6/20, but that's over a month ago and no tracking update since then. My other Asian orders are taking 2 weeks lately! I love Hobbyking but between this and no parts support I am slowing down in my orders. Can you guys see if my order is stuck on a boat or what should I do? I contacted support but they say give it 39 days which I think we are past already and then to contact post office and customs. I sent an email to usps but if they had it, it would track on USPS.com. And I work and cannot contact customs. What am I going to ask them anyway? We actually scan packages as they flow through the system in the US. These things are hand sorted overseas mostly from what I can tell with no scanning. My tracking number is RC007208861MY.

Waiting more than 40 days is unacceptable, not when everybody else does it faster and for less money.

Put in a paypall claim before its too late
Else, allow up to 16 weeks via boat.
Some missing Malayasia Post orders are dribbling in after 2 months , some guys still waiting.... (incl me, orders from May & June)

Now while Im NOT going to blame HK for Malaysia Posts issues......
I do blame HK for not getting on top of the situation & being upfront about it , both before & after we place orders.

So are they not going to use this shipping method in the future? Because if so. I'm out. 2 months is just too long. It's already been too long to put a claim in on paypal I think.

almost 2.5 months for delivery

My order from 18May just turned up today.
so thats allmost 2.5 months.

After 4 years, Im out. I'll now only buy planes from HK, as they dont get sent via Malaysia Post. Smaller stuff i'll just buy elsewehere.

Bangood are a good alternative , 3 weeks delivery on average, so far.
Himodel, a great alternative, they are more honest about actual delivery times.
