PMS Mk2

Well I thought I might start a new thread on the PMS Mk2

First starting with the fuse plug. Started with laminated mdf but too flexi so now back to the wood lathe for take 2.

A few hours and off the lathe, wont do much with the fuse plug untill the tail plane and wing are cut to setup the fin. First will be the wing saddle then placing and shaping of the fin, then finally the saddle for the tailplane.

More Soon.

What's the driver for the shorter tail moment, Dave? Same wing or a molded wing?

I am going with a servo in the base of the fin. This is the prototype. One peice wing easy no joins. The first wing will be a bagged one. Section coming from sean. The second will be a plug cut from super hd foam from eban and then molded. Want to fly first before molding to make sure all good. Just cut tail plane and came out well.

We are not going to put in diheadral on the mk2,

Question. for the mk1 does diheadral make for a slower DS model?

I disagree Dave.

The K2m has a bit of diheadral and it's one the fastest models in the world.
The diheadral will help the plane lock into the circuit easier.

If you have dsed a thermal model before then you will understand what I mean.

Just my 2 cents

Asto
