Throttle Servo Suggestion 50cc Gasser

I need a throttle servo for my 50cc gasser I'm putting together. I'm already running all digital on all control surfaces and it's going on a 6v setup with a DLE55. What servo should I put on it?

Any standard analog servo rated for 6 volts will work. I prefer ball bearing servos. Only a few dollars more and well well worth it.

Something in the 30-50 inch pound range should be plenty of torque depending upon the linkage set up.

I run ball bearing digital servos on throttle too, it just doesn't have to be high torque, standard torque is fine. The digitals give better response and more consistent idle setting for my taste.

To be honest with you...I am not impressed with Spektrum servos. A flying buddy had them on a plane and they developed slop in the output shaft very quickly and had to be replaced. It wasn't just one servo...it was several. He might have just got hold of some bad ones, but it was enough to make me avoid them. Others opinions may be better.

One of those will be more than enough servo for throttle. will work fine

88 oz-in @ 6v you would have to have major binding for it not to work!

Sometimes it depends on the radio you have. I do know the Airtronics SD-10G radio with its matching 10 channel receiver is digital only. I missed that a put an analog on the throttle on a set-up. If I moved the stick real slow, no problem. But when it was fast, oh-boy! It took the servo about 6 seconds to move full travel and it didn't sound pretty. I guess the problem is the increased resolution on FHSS-3 (2048) versus FHSS-1 (1048) confuses the analog servos.

Look up the warning that Spektrum issued for those servos

•Manufacturer Warning: "Not recommended for planes over 1.20-size or helicopters over .30-size. Loads and vibration in larger models may cause premature failure of the servo, resulting in damage or injury to property and persons."

Going with a Hitec 5645MG servo. It's probably a little overkill but better to be safe than sorry.
