Good luck and Godspeed.

Just kidding around...I'm sure it will be fine. It's a great plane!

The MicroGear has a memory chip so it should remember your settings. I did have to adjust the door servo end stops on both the P-51 and the B-25, but after both were done the MicroGear has worked great in both planes.

Even thou your warranty has lapsed, I'm sure Buz will work with you on your problems. Contact him at: osasales@comcast.net and I'll bet he'll have a solution for you.

Here is the B-25 with a MicroGear sequencer installed back in Feb. 2011.

3 quick questions...

1: Does this 1700 P-51D require a 6S, or could a person fly her with say a 5,000 4S, 30C or 40C...?

2: Also how often have the gear sequencers been failing, or are these aftermarket ones just a better way to go than stock...?

3: Regarding the recent burned up main landing gear motors... Is this just since the V2's were released...? Wondering what % are failing out of say 100 planes... Probably hard to assess though...

Just curious...

1: no, the motor will not have enough juice to spin the 4 bladed prop fast enough
2: standard door sequencer works perfectly fine but does not operate scale wise. That means the doors stay down when gear is down where they are supposed to cycle back up again, hence the aftermarket sequencer. (or program your TX like I did.
3: I have had no problems here with my V2.

Okay...what am I missing? I can't get the canopy open. I assume the batteries go in there.

Pull on the rear end of the canopy. That's it might take a lil force bit not a lot.

Guys, my manual and also reports form this thread the CG is supposed to be 120mm from the LE of the wing root near the fuselage. On the topside of the wings, on each side there are two circles in the foam. I think around 140mm or so. Just to make sure with you guys these spots DON'T indicate the CG, right?
On my 1400mm Mustang from FMS such spots DO reflect CG.

Better safe then sorry

Upwards, very, very slightly angled towards nose.. It's not secured by magnets but by 2 clamps in the fuselage.

I would like to know about the CG too. At 120MM from LE I was a bit tail heavy I thought...

if you mean as in calculated correctly, thus true... Couldn't tell ya. But if you mean it fly's good @ the FMS stated cg, yup mine fly's great at the factory recommended. 4000mah 6s and no up/down trim was needed on maiden.

Cool V8 thanks for sharing on the CG... Instead of buying my normal expensive Lipo's I finally bought 2 Zippy's from HK USA and not only were they a great price but they arrived in 2 days flat... They seem to work great and I feel like the last guy on earth to have ordered them after having read of so many others ordering them over the last 3 years... Just wondering if the Rhino's, or those newer Turnirgy Nano Tech's, are a much better choice than the Zippy's...?

Thanks
bnick

I asked this before but is anyone else having to cut a lot of space out for their batteries to fit properly without the canopy not being able to lock in place? I guess a 5000mAh 6s is too big...But I still have problems running two 3s 3000's...Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Aros...

What kind of flying time are you expecting with your two 3000mAh 3s packs...?

Those 2 new Zippy's I just bought for another bird are 2800mAh, 30C, 3S's, and I'm wondering if they will work for the Mustang...?
