I think that is 1/12 scale.

I would be good for reference.

Yes, 1/12th.If it was the right scale it would be way too heavy I think.

Got myself out to get the fins made. They have a scale bevel on the edges.

The plugs are styren plastic, then a RTV mold is made and the parts will be a urethane resin. The black fin is a very stiff urethane and the white one is the typical plastic model resin quality.

The silver paint was sprayed directly on the resin fin right out of the mold without cleaning off the silicone residual. No primer either, just a test . The white side of the fin shows a void in the fin. I lost some resin while making the fin, then started to roll the mold to spread the resin around and still get a usable part. The fins are pretty thin. Scale.

Never throw away and old plastic cutting board.

I used my mill to create a X-Y jig to set my tank fins. The hole at the intersection is to give me room to glue the joint.

The first urethane set. Need to see if this type of resin sags on the H-fin.

Getting there little at a time.

I have been distracted with another toy.

But now would be a good time to get back to my !04.

fabricated the canopy and made a mold, and now am putting on the framing. I will also put framing into the female mold as advised by Turbonut (Scott). Then determine which method would be best.

Please excuse the lack of clutter. I clean up a bit

Looks cool! I think you need to raise the angle on the bottom frames at the rear. Too parallel now. they need to converge more with the top of the canopy at the back.

kinda nice having short wings ...it fits on the bench with no over hang ...so you can walk by it and not get snagged on a wing tip and pull it off the bench

Ok. Canopy adjustment.

Yes, short wings. But still big fuse. But no wing snags.
