How to open this tape drive motor

without breaking it (is it worth it?)?

there may be an eclip on the back otherwise I can't help but it sure looks like a cool little motor.

Just push the shaft through the brass insert in the can. Looks like a Colorado-type, nine-pole roughly 35mm x 4 mm stator. Stack two or three for a 200W-plus rewind.

Would I have to turn my own bell if I stacked 2 or 3?

Thats how I would do it, but others have stacked the original bells, cutting out the centers? Powerditto has made many motors with those stators, some stacked and most using the original bells. I think his website is powerditto.de, he contributes here often, as well. Search for powerditto on RCGroups or just google. Good luck.
