Wanting to build a 4 stroke 1/5 scale

Hi all, Im thinking of building a 1/5 scale 4 stroke bike, I know there were a few about a couple of years ago but it seems to gone a bit quite now, can anyone help me with drawings, plans, photos anything that could help me with the build, I have just bought myself a decent lathe and have retired from work so fancy having a go Maybe someone might even have one for sale or parts, rolling chassis, half built whatever any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Steve

Try build something bigger 1/3.scale based on 1/5 design. Just scale up 1/5 components ..would be a great project

Parts

I think it's great and would be willing to help when I can. I also am working up a pile of parts for my bike owners and to sell. Things like my prototype tanks, gears and such.
It's tricky, electric bikes are a lot easier. I think we may see new motors soon, or just hoping.

Pictures on here of an OS-30 fs engined bike, very similar to Ken Dineen's FS-2, apart from the lay down engine and extra long clutch/flywheel arrangement. (The FS-2 has or rather had an upright engine and maybe a shorter length across the crank plane including the ancilliaries).

Do you get torque steer with the engine mounted in line like that when you
are on the gas ?

Cooling, clutch engagment (lower rpm tick over)and flywheel weight are the main things when not using 2 stroke, rest of the bike pretty much the same as normal 2 banger

Thanks Nolan, I was rather hoping you were going into production with your bike as a kit, but noticed you seem to be selling up, Have you given up on the project?

I will circle back to it Steve if interest grows enough to support it. There is not enough of a market for expensive RC bikes I think.
I am building two all new bikes to test this year, Nitro and Electric

Four Stroke of course. I would use a two stroke but they just don't fit well with my drive system and the large head and pipe.
I will test the new chassis design with a electric version. If it works well you may not get to see it until the Worlds or the National in Anaheim. If it doesn't..........
