wings

I have experimented a bit about how to cut wings without over burning.
The best result came with an pre-cut wing form making the hot wire go out of the foam in the front and then come back for a new cut of the underside.
OK I cut cnc but done by hand it will be good as well.

clausxpf,
As I have watched your builds over the years, you never cease to amaze! I also like the looks of this aircraft. It is a hard subject (at least to me) to even try and decide on how to duct this thing. But if anyone can do it I know you can. You are one superb craftsman my friend. I will watch this thread with great interest.
Well wishes.

Claus contact Fahim at "wow planes" he cut the cores for his T-38 kit with one cut ,the wire went in the top T.E went all the way around and came out on the lower side at the T.E....dont know how he does it but the cut was nice and the tapered wings are hard to do with out over burning .

how i do it.

the best results I have got is when the wire do cool down by leaving the material and re-enters in one flowing movement.

it is a little tricky but it is manageable.

Fine tuning of parts

The biggest advantage of making the model in two half's is the possibility to adjust
everything before glueing together.
