Lou Andrews TRAINERMASTER

Here's pic's of my Lou Andrews TRAINERMASTER converted to electric.
I've been converting vintage aircraft kits to electric for the past 10 years.

My other planes are Midwest Stik Bipe, Northeast aerodynamics Belair 40, Great Planes Sportster Bipe 40, Midwest Sweet N Low and Great Planes Trainer 40.
All are excellent flyers!
Old school flying at it's best!

It has a E-Flite Power 46 which is way over powered, but I like it that way.
Using 5 cells and a 60A ESC.

Most of these old vintage kits convert to electric power with ease.
So enjoy the pictures.

I know that this is an old thread but was interested.

I had one of these in the 70's. Always loved the way it flew. Saw that Lazer-works.com has a short kit for it and I found the plans online. I was thinking of building this as electric and saw your pics here. I've never done one as an electric and was looking for info.

Using the outlined motor, battery, and ESC, how long are your power runs? I almost always overpower my planes. Typically running .60's or .70's on .40 to .45 ships. Is this similar to that comparison? Thanks,

Killerstick makes some pretty planes...quality builds and master of covering.

Good to see an old thread brought back. Would like to have a Trainermaster in my collection. Maybe there will be some at the WRAM show swap.

Well, I'm building another one, this one is made from a Lazer Works short kit.
Everything fits perfectly!
Battery hatch is on top now, wing bolts instead of rubber bands.
Electric conversion also, going to use a Rimfire 46 on 6 cells.
Very light but strong!
I like ballistic takeoffs!
