It gets pretty boring just flying around now and all I want to try is some flips here and there to spice things up

Wasnt yours one walkera sent you before the firmware update? I think they made the decision to have it flip at the last minute because why else would it be added in so late into the development of it? I wonder if you could flash the RX with the new firmware somehow and have it flip-able.

yea mines was before the update. I'm glad they made a firmware update to more fun. This thing is by far the most fun thing to fly during my free time.

Got a little story for you guys

So we are having our annual Fun-Fly this weekend, and it's scheduled to be a fairly windy weekend. I was just out there, and my weather website says that the winds are 8-13 mph.

From the moment people saw me with the little Ladybird in my hands, they came up and asked questions. I had 2 people come and take pictures of it before I even flew it.

This was only it's third flight, and both of the others were indoor. I was curious to see how it would handle the wind. Where it's rock solid indoors, it was a bit jittery in the wind--to be expected. I lowered the sensitivity an eighth of a turn or so, it flew fine. I was flying it in the pits, and it didn't take long for there to be a little group of guys in front of me. I landed, looked behind me, and there was probably about 12 guys standing around, watching the little Ladybird bobbin' and weavin' in the wind quite impressively. Come to find out that Curtis Youngblood was in that group! He had a smile on his face and told me it was pretty cool. How's that for an endorsement, Walkera? Woo hoo, happy Friday,

Rafa

I too have a Devo 7. Just set up the dual rates and the travel adjust. Make sure to set AUX2 to ACT and FMD. This will allow you to switch between 6 axis ( regular ) and 3 axis ( flipping mode ). Have fun with it.

The pdf is 13 megs. I don't have a place to upload it to. In the 17 pages, most are the same as any other Walkera manual. Is there something specific you want to know? I just set up fixed ID, and the manual doesn't even mention fixed ID. Thanks a lot, Walkera.

For that matter, the Devo8s manual does not have any info on how telemetry stuff is supposed to work. I tried to setup voltage alarms, but they didn't seem to work. I'll have to play with it more, I guess.

The setup section in the manual is for the Devo 10 radio, as the displays looks similar to my 2801pro. Here's a pic of the meat of the manual:

Thank you.
Looking at those pages, one thought came to my mind:
how long before somebody tries to plug in 4G3 tail brushless converter/esc's into those 4 motor sockets to run a brushless version of the LadyBird

QR test

Hi, I just got mine and here is a short test vid.
Its easy to flip and roll even in the strong wind.
The next step is to put a FPV cam. into it and fly with goggles...

Walkera QR Ladybird test flight (4 min 54 sec)

Cheers, Eki

Nice. I'm having a blast with mine. I'm surprised it hasn't caught on yet for as much fun as I'm having.
