Matt Thor was making a S-boat kit.

I was so waiting for it to be complete and available. Work on that project was stopped just short of making the molds for mass production.

Now do to various issues, Matt has announced that he is having to end all production of his submarine kits.

Hopefully someone will get with Matt and make arrangements to take over the production.

I would offer but it turns out I am allergic to epoxies, fiberglass and some glues. I could not do the prolong exposure to those items that would be required.

I was building a S-boat back in the 80's. Had the plug finished and was working on the molds. But divorce happened and a several projects suffered total destruction.

I was so looking for Matt's S-boat to be available.

I have wanted a S-boat project for years. I have even had a R-boat as my screen saver for years.

Ralph,

That may still happen. I am not leaving the hobby, I just am forced to dramatically cut down my time spent with the resins and such. It looks like I will be able to release a few kits here and there as my health allows, but as you stated above, I am done with regular production of kits. It just got to be too much and my health has really taken a hit.

The S boat is still sitting under the bench. The main component I am missing is detail on the deck gun. I have absolutely everything else!

USS Pollack SSN 603

Here is my latest project. It is about ready to sail in this pictures. A few minor adjustments and she will make her first public showing.

Ralph,

That is good information, but I need a detailed multi view drawing of the gun so that I can fabricate up a replica. You know the drill!

This was delivered today. Going to be a lot of 'redo' work, but is a very special boat to me. The very 1st Type IID that Sheerline made.
