It is looking fine. Nothing like a bunch of balsa to make me smile. I get the same smile from the smell of freshly opened laser cut balsa too.

You should enter this in the Funbuild, it will be a lot of fun. The official announcement should come soon.

In other words, did you build a left half over the center spine, then add the right half? I was thinking of make 2 separate halves with their own spine, and gluing together.
THANKS
Hi Rogue Titan
Yes, I built the right side on to the left with the stringers running across both to keep everything square your plan would work just as well

Just ran across this thread and what you've done with the B-17 looks great. Will be subscribed and continue to follow as you progress.

Very nice work.

I think all you have to do to enter Funbuild 5 is to change the title of your thread to something like "Funbuild 5 - Guillows B17 Conversion". Sometime after the official invite thread comes out in a few days (around the middle of the month) you will need to post a picture of the "bones". Later a picture of it finished and finally one in flight.

Nice build! I was just down at the hobby shop today thinking that this would be a fun plane to build electric! I wasn't sure if i was going to do another kit after i finished my Husky, but i'm getting the itch again.
