No retoabcr, I never said water didn't have more resistance, go back and read. I am 100% correct. The same principals you use for figuring out what motor/prop/gear/whatever are universal, doesn't matter the resistance. All forms of transportation have resistance. You think a motor knows whether it's pushing water or a tire? No it doesn't. Yes....slot car tires have resistance, you are wrong. If a car tire didn't have any resistance, you could give it a little push and it would roll forever. This is not space, it's earth, and it's called coefficient of friction.
wparsons, you are correct, 2200kv on 3s is a good choice. You are a wealth of information and always enjoy reading your posts. You know a lot about boats. Your first post is on the money, higher kv with smaller prop in that boat is better.
