1/9/13 agreed on selling price. Sent back Paypal and today I see this!
WTH is up with this guy? Sounds a little fishy.... Buyer beware.

So, he bought it from you, and now he wants to sell it? Even if he's essentially acting like a drop-shipper, it doesn't seem like a big deal (unless I'm missing something). Many of the companies of Amazon operate the same way...

I am not seeing a problem, either. Just saw a sale, all RCG, the other day. A guy bought something and then the wife found out and said no. They were already shipped out, so he had them for sale before he even got them.

We have no idea what the story is behind this, but it is his to sell or do whatever he wants with.

Look at the pm log I posted guys. He agreed to sell it to me and then came here today and listed a new ad for it.

Very confusing but the way I see it you two agreed on a price after much haggling and came to an agreement.
What you can walk away from this mis-deal is you are one lessen closer to complete wisdom and can count yourself lucky to have been passed over by a seller without the same beliefs as you. A man of his word is golden but very hard to come by these days. This should just show you one more person to put on your ignore list and move on.

A thread like this comes up everyday, a buyer feels wronged by the seller once a deal was struck. Truth is the seller is not bound by anything to sell to you even after a deal has been reached. Most sellers here will follow through with the sale once the deal has been made but there are some that choose to keep looking for top dollar or what ever it is they seek. Ultimately the seller has final say as to whomever he wants to sell to and the buyer has no say so what so ever. You can post here for all to see what a seller you had a deal with but you will find folks an both sides of the fence. Thanks for the heads up on the seller that his word is obviously not good as you think it should be . Edit the ignore list and just keep looking.

Sorry bc, I see - real tiny type. I thought he bought it and then was reselling it. You are probably lucky to not be doing a deal with a seller that does that. Not nice or what I would do, but it really is up to him who he sells to. Maybe his not sending you an invoice means he decided not to accept your offer. Appears to be in "business" and not "fellow RCer" mode.

FWIW, I've been tempted to back out of deals as both a buyer and seller because I was offered better after I had made an agreement. Decided to follow through because a few extra dollars wouldn't have made up for the bad conscience for the rest of my life. Each of us has our own values and we have to live with the consequences...

OP I had trouble reading the attachment, the letters were pretty small for me. I didn't see where you and the seller came to an agreement on the price? I saw negotiations back and forth. You both obviously wanted the best price but could someone else have stepped in and offered his asking price?

As others have noted, seller can sell to whoever they want. I think once an agreement is reached on a price the deal should go through, but I don't consider it done until I get or send a payment.

You might not want to go into his thread again as that can be a possible problem. Unsure if the seller is aware he can delete posts in his thread.

Simple business, fair business, good faith business...all different things to different people. Common sense and graceful demeanor can be two way streets.

Did you agree to sell the heli to him for a set price and then back out? If so, that practice will ruffle some feathers here, and probably the other site as well. It's your right as a seller of course. Some people are firm believers in a mans word, a deals a deal, my word is bond etc.

If there was no deal, no agreement, then OP might chalk this one up to losing something while negotiating.

A deal is a deal, you reneged, and now you are getting smart about it? I would say good luck selling your heli around here buddy!

Actually, he said he would pay the next day when "his expense check goes in the bank"?

I had posted this the next morning. That didn't sound too assuring.

I'm looking to get a deal done right away.

You see, no. He didn't say he would pay right then and there. From what he said it sounded like he didn't even have the funds to negotiate with at the time.


I can't rely on that. Sorry. If you would like me post the end of the thread which has his address and Paypal account and stuff I don't feel nice posting I will. That is where he says, verbatim , "I'll send funds tomorrow. My expense check goes in the bank tonight. Whoo hoo my play money!"

I can't rely on that and I didn't reply because I got busy that night.
