Pro Boat Apache 24 Upgrade

well now that winter is here in MI , and the lakes are frozen , and ice fishing is going on , i am going to attempt to make my Apache 24 a little fast
so you will get to see me hack up a prefectly good boat , so heres what we r starting with

Now I have removed the decals , don't use Goof off , to remove the glue , i used Motsenbocker's Lift Off , it did not harm the ABS hull at all

Here is what i have so far .
I cut a hole for the battery , it fits very nice here, i am also adding a water cooled ESC ,just need to run the cooling lines , were can i get silicone tubing ?

Had to cut more away than i was thinking but it makes for a nice sweep for the water lines and power cables , the was enough silicone hose in the boat to do this job , just waiting for my motor to come and the lakes to thaw

Here we are ready to bore out the drive coupler to 5mm , now that i am looking at it i think i should upgrade the drive line , but i will try this route first and see what happens

All reamed out to 5mm on one end , now new set screws and install into the boat

I am going to start with the stock prop in SS , and see how it runs and go from there, just trying to balance the prop now ,, SS is a tuff metal

it has been snow here for the last few days , our first boat race is on April 14 , I hope the lake is thawed .
