Continuing a legend
I've watched a great many awesome folks share a mulitude of items here... and it's a blessing...."one man's junk another man's treasure...
I would like to share too as well..... So here's the deal... Dave Robelen was my mentor and dear friend and was one of the most remarkable RC pioneers.... He gave so much love to this grand hobby... IF anyone would like to have all of the building info to build his classic Pronto series aircraft I can provide ALL the necessary dimensions needed to build this excellent flyer... No plans needed.... Just PM me... I dont want anything... other then keeping Dave's memory alive and flying. I miss my friend... Banjo BTW.. many have ask about Dave's Bio: https://www.modelaircraft.org/files/RobelenDavidB.pdf

For all you guys out there who build planes...I am looking at building this particular plane and it will be my first ever build. Just wondering, where do you guys get the balsa and plywood to make these things? online...in store? and what do you use (I did some research and found out about the different grades, etc). Maybe I should have put this in another thread, but I am asking in relation to this SPECIFIC plane. Thanks in advance.

Lone Star Balsa has a minimum $25.00 not including shipping & handling.
The last time I ordered from them,I ordered enough balsa & light ply to keep me in building for Quite a while. I spent a little over the $25.00 minimum.I was happy with the quality of the wood. Earl |
