Broken Elevator Nearly does it again. Dynam A-10 Elevator needs modification.
Nearly lost my A-10 forever after the elevator broke for the second time. Here is video of the first time it broke a couple of weeks ago. After that crash, I was able to recreate the fuse from all the small chuncks, a bottle of gorilla glue, and a few cans of paint. I thought my elevator repair would be the last but I was so wrong....
Dynam A10 Broken Elevator on Landing ends in Disaster (2 min 30 sec) Today, after a high altitude loop, the plane went into a violent right roll when i tried to pull up. I tried to baby her back down by gliding with no engine power. I was nearly aligned with my landing zone when I finally lost all elevator and went crashing down. After 4 hours and nearly 4 miles of walking through the woods and dense foliage, here is the aftermath. Plane is beat up but will fly again. I will be modifying the elevator with some plywood to make it a solid piece. I will upload some video of latest crash when I get a chance. Thanks.

Just picked up one of these. Neat plane. My first EDF jet. Lots of experience with multicopters, heli's, my skysurfer, carbon cub, and parkzone wildcat.
A quick question before I glue in the motor pod. I noticed that one of the ESCs had the blue connected to the red, and red connected to blue, I assume in order to reverse the motor. Is this normal for both motors to turn opposite directions? Or should they both turn the same direction? Thanks guys! |

Motors need to spin the same direction so that the fans spin the correct way.
Power it up and check the fans--if they don't blow air out the rear you have a problem Houston! ![]() If yours came with black encased escs (instead of yellow) then they are true 40a units and are good to go on 4s lipos. This plane has just adequate power on 3s in my opinion. 4s is where it's at. I like 2650mah 4s of 30c or higher. Have fun! |

I'll start with 2650mah 3s as this is my first EDF jet and then maybe migrate to 4s. Thanks! |
