Actually these are good servos, metal gear, I bought 10 of them, very strong, I use them directly in the tail of Easy Glider pro on rudder and elevator and will use a pair in my Versus DLG wing I just got from hobby king. These are made by Vigor and sold outside of Hobby King also. I am going to buy more of these. Only downfall are thin and very short servo leads, can't have everything I guess. They are too tall for the fuse also, even if you cut off the 2 knobs on the bottom but perfect for wings.

The D47's were snapped up before I could explain that I would not dicker with the seller. I don't want to spend $100 plus shipping etc. just for servo's for this bird. It's my first DLG![]() Re Hobbyking: My DLG is from Hobbyking (it's a Topsky) I am at about $4>5000.worth of HK products and never a problem. Thanks for your input DDRUCK Thanks for your input also. I am undecided on these servos as some of the reveiws are not the best. Kerry |

Especially for a first time DLGer. They will develop a bit of slop (all metal gear servos do) but for the price they can't be beat. |

How about a digital, metal gear servo with a coreless motor for less money than the D47 or the HK servos? http://www.alofthobbies.com/dsm44.html These little servos rock in the Topsky and other DLGs. Did I mention they are in stock, in the USA and we have FAST and affordable shipping on them, including international? If that is not enough, if you are not happy with them for any reason just return them for a refund. Yeah, we like these servos that much! -Wayne |

Not familiar, but they look ok for this application.
See: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1724663 You can't beat the price on these coreless MG servos, and Wayne from Aloft is very reputable so I would take the gamble. The only small concern I would have is metal gear wear, but you're not bound to see that for quite a while. The plane more than likely will age faster than those gears. Just my $0.02 ![]() Edit: Just compared these specs to my similar sized Blue Arrow D05010MG's I have in my Alula Evo, and these have 3 times more torque!!! Wow! ![]() See: http://www.servodatabase.com/compare?servos=135,2059 |
