Anyone seen these??...

Hi,
just happened across the amazing models. Mainly German, but they claim international.
It's called 152 VO. 1:5.2 scale (??) models in wood of wooden vintage outboard hydros and racers.

This could turn me brushless! I LOVE it!!

Martin

I've been thinking of building one from plans for a similar 28" hull that I have. It takes an outboard and I have a K&B 3.5 lower that can be converted to electric. May be a winter project. http://www.152vo.de/

The Boatworks kits are pickle forks, which aren't allowed.

The models have to be to 1:5.2 scale between 1922 and 1960 and you have to prove it's made from plans or an accurately measured example of an original boat.

I thought the kit price a bit steep, at 169 Euros, but then, I'm a tight wad and make as much as possible.

I just think it's so refreshing to find an essentially garagiste class. I'm not into competition myself or even in a model boat club, so it's purely a position of admiration for the guy who started t and the 1000 who have taken it up.

I really don't see anyone doing it in England...it's not plastic or GRP, a tug or a warship!
