One of your best videos Jimbo. Nothing better than a good day of scale on the slopes.

Your very right, there is nothing better than a mini scale fest. Having not flown any scale for most of the summer (models too big to travel with family), its reaffirmed my view scale flying is the most satisfying of all RC flying, it's a great feeling watching that pilot in the cockpit look out as you fly by.
The ash 26 is by schleicher, and flew really well, I was most impressed.

Nice vid Jim...I am still finishing off my 1/4 scale projects.Roy gardner pik 20,pat teakle vega and dart 17.Its only been a couple of years so far. They should be on the mynd within the next 8yrs as I am retiring early in 5yrs or so!Too many little kippers keep getting in they way of the main builds.Mini vec is one of them and a full foam scalie from HKing....some day they will be done...chris.T

PS..those two little watchers are well trained.

Youre right they are as keen on slope as us older guys!
They are Chris' grand kids, if I take mine they would be running amok... Fortunately I can leave mine at home most of the time
Apparently this year has been good, you flown much? My Luna recently had an embrace with terra firma and requires a new fuz! How's yours? There's a vid of mine doing aeros on the slopeflyers blog if you hadn't seen it already.

Jim....Ive been to the mynd a couple of times this year and flown my Luna and Vector3.With work so involving we all rarely get any days off together in the week now.Been flying flat field mostly through out this year locally at the week ends.It seems to be a struggle for time these days and all we think about is early retirement in about 5yrs and all the flying we can do...roll on my 50th birthday(in 5yrs) and my 1/4 scale projects should come on a lot quicker!...chris.T

Yep, another season over. Got in a bit of flying in various locations, but funnily not much scale at the mynd, wind weather and commitments didn't seem to align much.
But really enjoyed the last time, so looking for another big scalie for a winter project, who knows I may get lucky. Laters, J.

Thanks Sally,
Yesterday was another outing with the Fox, this time a little more wind , superb lift and a little less nose weight and it really ripped about I think the addition of the more experienced pilot in the front seat made all the difference

Some on board footage, on board my big Fox. Shot with a mobius cam. The rear pilot was feeling a little unwell during the aerobatics. Wind was not really enough for some chucking it about at about 12-15mph into the evening.
Cheers,
On board Fox (5 min 10 sec)
