Tx/Rx 2.4 mode PPM - satellite Spektrum
Motors: Sunnysky 2204 2300KV
ESC: Lumenier 12 amp ESC with SimonK Firmware (N-FET)
Props: HQ Prop 5x4
LiPo: nanotech 1A 25C for tests
FPV: gopro 3+, vTx vRx Lawmate 1.2
First tests last we, first crash (radio cut) = 1 prop, second = 2 props.

My last build, it is foldable (smaller backpack is enough). I used google SketchUp to plan it.
distance between motors: 250mm
Easier to see it with LEDs on it (cloudy days)

I heard that Graupner Elektro props are more or less perfect out the box though one look at the price will make you wonder if that's really worth it.
Anyway, as far as actually balancing them goes, I tried out laser prop balancing for the first time recently. It's fiddly, tedious and wasn't nearly as easy as a lot of the instructional videos seem to make it. Still, even though I struggled a little, I seen a massive improvement. Definitely recommend trying it out.
So here's a recent flight of my first decent H-quad, not counting the previous one that was pretty terrible and didn't last long before the first crash. I hadn't balanced up my props when I took this so I've disabled the sound to save your ears the strain.
I also had a problem with one of the motors so yaw control was sloppy. Very pleased with it though.
