I had the Mini Mono... Speed Controller either burned or failed on me... so I returned it... going to get this and convert it to brushless

You would rather buy a new motor/esc and have to modify the driveline in this than just put a better ESC in the mini mono?

really huh, with NQD found hopping was more cg and lipo placement even running 4s than drive, might try it though...

these are also great conversions to bl/lipo easy and drive shaft keeps boat very very stable

Has anyone heard an ETA for these boats? I don't see anything on the website.

More info on the 24". I'm rather disappointed to see that its brushed. The 2900kv motor from the discontinued WidowMaker matched with the PB45 amp esc for 2s & 3s runs would have been a better match. We all know the WM was a dud along with its 30amp esc, but that motor matched with the bulletproof 45amp esc could of been a nice combo. The price seems a little high for a brushed setup, but I assume MG licensing cost. Maybe a 24" BL version maybe next....

I'm also shocked they're using the steerable outdrive from the OLD BJ26 as well... not even the most recent BJ26 SS has that, why go a step backwards???

Cheap and get rid of old stock parts that have been collecting dust in the warehouse? Maybe they are taking notes on how Walkera does business for their more obscure helis.

Wow I just noticed that (steerable outdrive). Pretty sure this is all stuff probably from the Apace 24. I think this will be the replacement for that boat. It appears they maybe just polishing a turd. That's rather a disappointment and a disgrace to the MG paint/scheme.

We sell these boats in the hobbytown im at and I dont understand proboats thinking on the miss geico boats...I just ran the Black Jack 29 6s setup for the first time yesterday and its truly impressive...dont understand why their not doin the same quality setups in their MG boats...I agree with diesel "its a disgrace to the MG team"

I just got the Geico 17 today!!!!! Looks great! A major improvement from the Mini-C.
I'm just running the motor on the table to get the max battery life, the shaft broken in and the motor broken in.
I can't wait to run this thing on Sunday!

So I ran it... and I have to say... it looks great in the water... but slower than the original Mini-C the proboat had... It probably goes about 8.5 MPH... I didn't have my radar gun on me...
A brushless conversion is a must for this!
