Heng Long Sherman

I finally bought the HL Sherman after reading what a nice tank it is. There isn't much metal available beyond tracks, wheels and engine hatch doors but I bet that will change. There are a lot of Tamiya parts and after market parts that can be utilized but I am having trouble finding a steel gear set other than the Walterson's. Does anyone know if the Pure Steel brand short axis gear box for the Tiger I and Panther will fit? I saw an on-line store selling one with identical shaft length and motor arrangement designated for the HL Sherman and just want to confirm that before purchasing: http://www.hobbyraw.com/item.jsp?id=593

yes mate that should do the job, the Tiger 1 should fit straight in, but the panther G has longer drive shafts, unless you mean the early Heng long panther/tiger cross

Thanks, I asked the guy on eBay and he said he didn't have it for the M4 so he may not have that info. I will get it and if it's wrong then I can stick it into my Tiger 1.
