Quick Citabria for RFFS
I just finished (except for one or two wire routing details) my next generation "Quick" plane after my Quick Mite. This one is intended to be a Quick Citabria, hence the quickie paint job.
It weighs 33.5g, uses Selman wings for a 18 inch span, 72 sq. in. area, and has a 2.4 oz/sq.ft. loading.

that bird looks like another 'Steady Eddie'! You can almost see with closed eyes its rock stable flight attitude.
I especially like the colour setup. That bird is so pretty, don't you think it has earned itself a Depron or Selitac box fuselage?
I assume you have used an N-20 motor. What gear ratio did you use?
Keep us informed after the maiden flight. Is the green in your neighbourhood still free of trees?

The gearbox is a Carl Martin laser cut gearbox that he made me a few of. It's 6.7:1 with Didel gears and a 3-bladed CF prop that I molded. In fact, it's the same propulsion set simply removed from my Quick Mite.
The motor is a M20-HV as it is lighter than the N20. But, the N20-HV or even N20-LV would be acceptable. The N20-LV's are available so cheap surplus that if you want to run them on 2-cells your investment is so low it doesn't matter if you have to replace them more often. I have quite a few hours on my Punkin bipe on 2 LiPolys with the N20-LV. But, the M20 is about 1.7g lighter so I use it in my RFFS planes.
Our indoor night is Sunday, so I'll maiden it there. Our neighborhood is still free enough of trees like when you were here that flying this plane in the neighborhood should be no problem.
Yes, a full fuselage version is probably in the future. But, I have things to learn with the stick version first.
