I think that's good hover time. Mine are shorter now, but mostly because I'm working on torque rolls. Still working on the muscule memory when the canopy is facing away.

Those who have been replacing the landing gear with 1/8 inch piano wire. How did you cut the wire? Looks really thick.

Thanks

I've found the easiest way to cut piano wire is to use a Dremel with a cutting disk.

some big side cutters and a lot of pressure difficult

probably should use dremel with cutoff wheel like E2N suggests

Steve t told me a great way to do that. Use a drill and take your time drilling multiple holes. Easy peasy. ..took about 15 minutes.

And...as has been posted many times in this forum...Don't epoxy the darn gear in in the first place. Install gear, install wedge, install two screws through formers/wedge holding gear in... Voila!! Gear installed...

Mine was bought used. I didn't build the plane. But yes if I built this myself I would not have glued it either.

I did epoxy mine....no big deal to drill it out and do it the better way. Now I know to check the forums before assembly. Just another lesson with this hobby!

Do any of you fly the KnifeEdge version of this plane on RealFlight? I'm struggling with part of the setup. Specifically she constantly rolls out of KE as if the wing had a dihedral. Too much to try and mix out without creating other problems.
