Hitec HS-7955TG's are awesome, you can fly 100cc planes with those.
I bet they feel great on the Extra.

I just went and looked at the 7954. That does look like a good one! Are steel gears somewhere between metal and titanium?

Thanks

Yes and I'll never wear out steel ones.
Check out RC Superstore for price
Even though 7955 are not HV rated...no issues at all on 2s but I have noticed that the 7954 don't
"chatter" like some of the 7955 I've had do on 2s. Also can't figure as to why Hitec hasn't HV rated the 7955?

The 7955 was never meant to run over 6 volts. It is such a heavy duty servo it will tolerate the extra voltage but it will shorten it's life. I run Smart Fly electronics so I can regulate the voltage.... also it cleans up the power so the components have a nice clean power source.

I called Hitech about the 7955 a few years ago. I was told they use the same electronics board as the 7950 does and can def handle HV voltage.

I know, the controversy has been ongoing for quite some time now. Ask 2 people get 2 different answers.

My attention was called to the Savox SA-1256TG .15 / 277 oz.-in @ 6v titanium gears.
You can buy these for $60.... a true bargain I think.
Also the Savox SA-1258TG .08 / 166 oz.-in @ 6v titanium gears... for ten bucks less. Another true bargain!

I will run the SA-1256TG in my Extra and the SA-1258TG in my AW Ultimate. Both of these servos would be great for me. If XA is your game then the SV-1270TG 487 oz-in@7.4v would be the ticket!

Great servos all getting great reviews!
