Another beautiful bird at a nice light weight , like the 250 sized motored WW1 biplanes they used to make , I like how they fly , I will need one of these also

Sure looks a lot like the EFlite 250 grasshopper but with yellow skin and wheel pants.
Are there any other differences I'm missing?

If it flies anything like the Grasshopper it'll be a winner. The Grasshopper has been one of the best little planes I've ever flown.

Pretty much looks like the old EFL L-4 Grasshopper. I enjoyed flying the L-4. A nice parkflyer sized model which was pretty robust with a few modifications. The dimensions match up pretty well except for wingspan. Battery hatch, windscreen, and cowl look identical except for color. Servo and motor mounts look identical.
A few things I noticed:
- Wings are now glued in place. The L-4 had a nasty habit of the wings popping off the magnetic mount at the TE. This should be a non-issue now.
- Looks like it's the same gear with fixed cross braces (meant to mimic the shock cord mounts on the full size). This is an issue on the old L-4 as it's too rigid and can't absorb a hard landing, bending axles as a result. On my 53" Super Cub, the upper and lower braces between the wheels are not rigidly secured (See photo below, note the gap between the braces). This allows the gear to flex. I wonder if it's possible to detach the braces on this one?
- Wing struts are simply pinned in place. You must inspect regularly to make sure the mounting tubes don't loosen. Always check to make sure the struts are secure during pre-flight!
- They are still recommending the Park 250 with the accompanying issues in trying to press the shaft through to use a prop collet. I understand some ruined their motors attempting this. If it were my plane, I would use the Park 280 instead to simplify the install as it has the proper extended shaft. There is a ply spacer used with the 250 so removing it should allow plenty of room for the 280. I also recall the original L-4 with the Park 250 was tail heavy to start with (you had to push the battery right forward into the cowl), so a bit extra nose weight with the 280 should be welcome. The 280 has a lower KV which should allow for a bit more prop so you can either increase pitch speed (7x5 or 7x6?) or get more thrust by increasing diameter (APC 8x3.8 or GWS 8x4). These larger props might push the motor so exercise some throttle management! I always felt the Park 250 with the 7x4 prop was anemic in terms of thrust (it's probably very scale), so the 280 with a larger prop would help.
