Yep we had a great turkey day with an amazing "block party" breakfast to start it off .. Ending up with a desert of turkey minions

A bit off topic maybe but could be relevant since it is Black Friday.
Thumbing through a magazine that a good friend gave me last year and came across some interesting good buys.
Yep, that radio control system is state of the art. Check out the price!
And anyone who has purchased from this supplier remembers how much inventory they carried.
What was I flying? None other than this plane. I had to mow three lawns to be able to purchase just the kit.
And you think the Chinese invented ARFs? Not so, this one is from Japan and just a bit earlier.
The mag is Model Airplane News...... July 1965.
One other thing, a SIG "AAA" balsa sheet, 1/16"x3"x36" was $0.18!

Now. do you realize how good we have it today?

Wow thats a blast from the past. I wish you could buy balsa for $1.80....isnt a sheet closer to $4-5 bucks?

That must be a west coast price! I got some from the LHS-- All Bud Nosen wood-- balsa sheet, 1/16"x3"x36", IIRC was less than $2.00 a sheet
