The flaw in your logic is you will crash a lot more with an SR and have a crappy radio you won't be able to use for anything else.
Aside from that, a clone 450 doesn't cost any more than an SR. |

NO NO NO on the blade SR.....omg! this is the hardest heli to fly bar none, and I have a stack of helis (250-450's-500-600) I crashed this regularly and just benched it! i did give it a good go, i was told not to, but i bought it anyway, cos I too have a blade 120sr and a blade 400, so why not get the SR...tell you why cos its S$#@!.
Get a simulator (2-3 months practice)...then a proper collective pitch 400-450 etc. here's a video of my trying to fly it...go to 8:00. |

I have found when it comes to heli's, the bigger they are the easier they are to fly. Not twitch like the smaller heli's and can fly around easier than the smaller heli's. And yes I do know this for a fact...BUT the bigger they are the more they cost to repair when you crash. SO I guess it does depend on money unlike what jasmine says it is not about money. I will forever disagree with Jasmine on this one. Some people dont have the money and money IS the deciding factor on what they buy and what they can afford. The 450's though are a good choice between money to buy and money to spend on crash repair compared to how it flies and how much it will cost to repair. Crash a bergen 50, a caliber 90, even a raptor 90 and be prepared to spend serious dollars for repairs. crash a 450 and usually a hundred dollars plus or minus a few dollars and your up and flying again. The others I mintioned can be anywhere from a few hundred to 6 or 7 hundred dollars to repair.
